Other information is thrown here and there, sometimes without strong background, which makes us, as readers, must conclude what happens in between. We get Brian just trying to improve his hand mobility by learning to sculp, then suddenly he's already becoming a sculp artist and ready to have an exhibition. The time frame here moves in fast-forward style, with references like " nearly four months after the attack" or " for all they’d been there for nearly two years". While it's nice to have a happy ending for Brian and Tate, unfortunately, this third book seems to function only as snippets for us to know what happens next.
